Choosing an Oakland Area Neighborhood to Live In

Immigration to cities you do not know intimately is always difficult. In Oackland, the major part of the problem lies in choosing neighbors or areas. This is especially true, especially if you have never visited the area. You have only the negative stereotype and media image of the city.
Oackland is rare in that its various surrounding areas are distinct and often dramatically different. For example, Rockbridge and East Oakland feel totally different cities. The wealthy area of Oackland Hills is not much different from the industrial district in West Oackland.

Choosing an Oakland Area Neighborhood to Live In

These contrasts mean that choosing the appropriate neighborhood is an important factor in planning the move here. Of course, the best way is to spend quite a bit of time here before moving. Even if that is impossible, you can find the right home to buy in the East Bay. Method is as follows. Based on the most important elements for you, we will create a list of your top choices.

·         If you are concerned about the school, consider living in the area on the right side of the hill in the "Lamorinda" (Lafayette, Moraga, and Orinda) area. Some of the schools in Oackland are very good schools, but many of the schools in Lamorinda are excellent.
·         Dog-friendly surrounding areas include Rockridge, Piedmont and Elmwood.
·         Low rent is often used in East Oackland and West Oackland. But these neighborhoods can be pretty rough. If possible, please check these neighborhoods directly before moving to another place and promising to live there.
·         The hilly areas (Montclair, Forestland, and Claremont Hills etc.) tend to be more expensive. However, they also tend to be safer and totally different feeling thanks to lush parks and nearby parks.
·         Downtown Oackland offers more of the city atmosphere than many other districts. If that is important to you, please consider moving to this area.
·         If access to public transport is important, either Rockbridge or Oakland in downtown is the best. There are BART stations in these areas. This means that you can easily go to "The City" (San Francisco) or elsewhere in the Bay Area.
Create a list of Deal-Breaker Neighborhoods
·         Check the crime level in each region and decide how much for you is too much. To remember that you do not move there, please enumerate the unsatisfactory districts clearly. The Oakland Crime spotting Map is a wonderful resource to help with this.

·         Consider the noise level. There are several highways running in Oackland, living near you can be unpleasantly noisy. The same thing happens when you live near the exposed part of the BART track.
·         Please think about how you want to depend on the car. In some areas public transport is easy and extensive, but to a greater or lesser degree you need to get over the car.
When creating your list, some of Oackland's names may have multiple names. For example, East Oakland is a part of Oakland. Seminary, Melrose Heights, Fairfax (among many others) are neighboring districts within East Oakland. Similarly, in the Oakland Hills area there are Montclair, Forestland, Creston and other surrounding areas. The tools that are useful for search are as follows.
